Why Jyotish horoscopes use the Moon sign

In Jyotish the Moon is the mind, and transits are read from the Moon because that is where they are felt. The classical texts (Brihat Samhita, Phaladeepika) give, for each planet, the houses from the Moon where its transit helps and those where it hinders. Our horoscopes apply those rules to where the planets actually are, each day, rather than to a template.

What a sign horoscope cannot tell you

Everyone with the same Moon sign reads the same horoscope. Your own dashas and the strength of each planet in your birth chart decide how a transit lands for you. For that, start with your free kundli.
