Adhi yoga
The benefics in the 6th, 7th and 8th from the Moon.
- Formed when
- Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are in the 6th, 7th or 8th houses from the Moon
- Source
- Phaladeepika; Brihat Jataka
- How common
- Uncommon in its full form: about one chart in twenty
When the three natural benefics surround the 7th house from the Moon, the texts describe a leader: a minister, a commander or the head of an organisation, living in comfort and free of enemies.
Authors differ on whether all three benefics are needed or whether two are enough (a weaker form). Our kundli reports it only in the full form, with all three in those houses.
Does your chart have it?
The free kundli finds this yoga and the others on this list in your chart and says which planets form it.
Sources: Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra (Pancha Mahapurusha, raja, dhana, Sunapha, Anapha, Durudhara and Kemadruma yogas) and Phaladeepika (Gajakesari, Adhi, Amala, neecha bhanga and the viparita yogas). The results are summarised in our own words. A yoga gives its result in proportion to the strength of the planets forming it, and mainly in their dashas.
